Celebrate the holidays at your local library

Join us this December to celebrate the holidays at the library! Whether it is a story time, a craft night, or live music, we have many programs that will delight the old and young alike. And the best part is that all of them (with the exception of a small supply fee for some), are FREE. 

Tween Time: Gingerbread Houses

December 2  2:00 p.m.

Madison Public Library

Youth ages 9-13 will combine candy, creativity and concentration to create a mini gingerbread house of their own. RSVP appreciated at lblackmon@hmcpl.org

 

Homeschool Connections- Christmas Ornaments

December 4 1:00 p.m.

Monrovia Public Library

Get your Christmas spirit going as we make a variety of Christmas ornaments.

 

Holiday Craft Class

December 5 4:00 p.m.

Registration required. 

 

Gourd Ornament Painting

December 8 at 10 a.m.

Elizabeth Carpenter Library of New Hope

A fun way to ring in the holiday season! $2 per ornament. Space and gourds are limited so please come by the Elizabeth Carpenter Library of New Hope to make your reservations. Payment is expected upon reservation.

 

Pictures with Santa

December 8 10:30 a.m.

Tillman Hill Public Library of Hazel Green

Come have your picture taken with Santa. Either use your camera, phone, etc. or purchase a 5x7 print for small fee.

 

Christmas Concert at the Library

Downtown Huntsville Library

Join us for the 8th Annual Christmas Concert at the Library featuring the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra and the Strings of Pearl Ensemble. Light refreshments provided by the Downtown Friends of the Library.

 

Evening to Remember

Triana Public Library

An evening of dinner and dancing featuring Saxophonist Alex Banks II. Seating is limited.  Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the Triana Public Library.

 

Wrapper's Delight Gift Wrapping Workshop

Madison Public Library 

Level up your giftwrapping skills and learn how to make fantastic bows, gift tags, and more. There is a $3 supply fee due at the beginning of the workshop. 

 

Holiday Recipe Taste and Share

Holiday Puppet Show

Children of all ages can join our puppet pals for a fun show featuring stories, rhymes, and songs followed by a simple craft.
